Grade 304 Pegs: Stronger pegs made with more durable stainless steel. Higher corrosion resistance and can be left outside (although not recommended for long periods). Ideal for most homes and most conditions. If you live in a particularly windy area consider using stronger 2mm pegs.



If you are looking for a durable alternative to plastic clothes pegs this is it. Grade 304 clothes pegs with a 1.8mm width and 6mm length are for standard washing in normal conditions. These are an ideal starter set for any home. You might buy a few sturdier pegs for sheets and heavier items or if you live in a particularly windy area.

The nickel content in these pegs is twice as high as in the normal stainless steel wire pegs (Grade 201) so they have a much higher corrosion resistance, and because of the lower carbon and manganese content they are more durable and less prone to rust. If you live near the ocean we still don't recommend you leave outside and would recommend Marine Grade 316 pegs.
