Escuminac from Quebec in Canada is almost a sacred name when it comes to the sublime, burnished golden treat of maple syrup.

Established in 1998 after Martin Malenfant set up his sugarwood on maple rich land at Escuminac in the Baie-des-Chaleurs in the Gaspé Peninsula, Quebec. His aim was to make the world's most luxurious but sustainably produced maple syrup and he has magnificently succeeded.
