Flannel flowers are my favourite flowers, there is something comforting about their fuzziness. They grow in the harshest environment on our ridge. This painting refers to the simple things which can make us happy. A cup of tea in our favourite cup, a favourite flower and wrens, how can you not be uplifted by wrens and their waggily tail antics? All these things bring comfort, just like a warm hug.
